Dr Gerald M Sacks explains how important it is to understand the concept
of opioid-induced constipation. The patients afflicted with OIC are

opioid-induced constipation. Even the practitioners are so busy
addressing diabetes, hypertension, chronic pain, and other issues
associated with opioid that they just overlook the treatment of
opioid-induced constipation.
